Also, the stagnant rain water on roads caused severe hardships for motorists to make their ways as vehicular movement remained slow on main arteries-Shahra-e-Faisal, Tariq Road, Airport Road Malir and M A Jinnah Road etc.
The KWSB said power disruption caused hardships for their teams to operate its water distributions and sewerage pumps in various city neighborhoods. "We are running our generators to operate sucking pumps"
Some of the areas that experienced power cut included Clifton, Shah Faisal, Malir, Tipu Sultan , Landhi, Saddar, Lyari, Korangi, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad as well parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

"KE teams remained alert following prediction of rain and responded to restore electricity to the affected areas. While water logging in a few low-lying areas, caused difficulties in restoration work, power supply to strategic installations including key hospitals, KWSB pumping stations, and airport remained unaffected throughout."
KE regrets the inconvenience caused to its valued customers due to unforeseen circumstances.
Moreover, consumers are advised to stay away from any broken wires, electrical poles and transformers, especially during rainy and windy weather. The utility continues to urge citizens to refrain from using illegal means (Kundas) to abstract power.
